The Top 100 R&B Songs of 2015 — Presented by Soul In Stereo &

2015 was a great year for R&B.

If you need proof, you’ve come to the right place.

Every year, I team with my soul brothers from to review and rank the best of the year of R&B. This year, we were joined by Barry Barz from Up Close and RnB in creating the most diverse list of music the genre has to offer.

To determine the rankings, each of us selected 50 of the year’s most notable tracks, including singles and album cuts. We combined those lists, removed the duplicates, ranked all the songs based on quality and impact and then trimmed the fat.

The results are the best in all facets of R&B — soul, funk, experimental, hip-hop, they’re all covered.

From now until year’s end, we’ll roll out the best songs on Twitter — follow @etbowser and @YKIGS to keep up. You can also search for the  #Top100RnB hashtag for the latest. We’ll also have a running list of songs right here.

Critics who complain that R&B is dead just aren’t listening to the right songs. These 100 selections prove that the genre is still alive and well.
