Guilty Pleasures: Rick Ross, “Luxury Tax”

We all have guilty pleasures, those songs that have no business on our iPods or the tracks we only blast with the windows rolled all the way up in our rides. In this column we share our darkest musical secrets.

According to my dude Mikhiel De’Braux, his guilty pleasure is Rick Ross’ entire sophomore album, Trilla. In honor of Rozay’s upcoming album release, I figured we’d feature one of the stronger tracks from Trilla — “Luxury Tax,” featuring Wayne, Rawse’s former ally Jeezy and a salty-sounding Trick Daddy. Rawse is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is but that man has a ear for production. This luxurious beat does all the work, everyone else is just along for the ride.
