Flashback Friday: Mary J. Blige and Freeway

Happy Friday, playas! Ready to reminisce?

Mary J. Blige, Share My World (1997)

I have no desire to see the Think Like A Man Too film, but since every song on the soundtrack will be performed by Mary J., I’ll give the music a shot. But before we get there, let’s revisit what I still proclaim to be MJB’s best album. From top to bottom, it’s her most complete work.

Freeway, Free At Last (2007)

Whenever fans get nostalgic over Roc-A-Fella Record’s reign of dominance in the early ’00s, Freeway’s contributions always seem to be forgotten. Arguably, he was the Roc’s most consistent player. His sophomore album was so good even my rap-hating wife blared it from her speakers. The Philly Freezer is still the coldest.
