Flashback Friday: A+ and Bobby V

It’s Friday, the best news I’ve heard all week.

Let’s not waste any time; settle in as we look back at old favorites.

There was once a time when hip-hop was so good that even kids could rap. Nick Birdsong reminds us.

A+, The Latch-Key Child (1997)

Nick said: “A+’s ‘All I See’ has better relationship lines than 90 percent of songs out now. He ‘was on his way to being thug till shawty showed him love.’ LOL.”

Find out why a random Bobby V album has a special place in the heart of Soul In Stereo’s boss man.

Bobby V, Bobby Valentino (2005)

Edd said: “Odd as it sounds, Bobby V’s album has special meaning. I picked it up not long after my future wifey moved to Louisville, where I was working at the time. Prior to that, we were long distance lovers for two loooooooooong years. This album brings back memories of our triumphant reunion. I’ll be honest, most of the album’s lyrics are laughable but it’s the great production and nostalgia factor that keeps it in rotation.”
