What could Lady Gaga and I have in common?

When you look at me and you look at Lady Gaga, you probably don’t exactly think kindred spirits. But the eccentric pop star and I may have something very important in common. Lady Gaga might have lupus, the L.A. Times reports

During an interview on “Larry King Live” Gaga said she’s borderline positive for lupus. This may sound vague but it is actually a common diagnosis as lupus is such a confusing disease, even for doctors. Lupus symptoms can be unclear, can come and go, and can change over time, as the Lupus Foundation of American stated in a response to Gaga’s announcement. Furthermore, two people with lupus can have very different systems. For me lupus means extreme fatigue and joint and muscle pain. For others it’s much more severe and can mean serious heart, kidney or lung complications.

Those of you who live in Birmingham, I hope you will join me tomorrow for Walk for Lupus Now Birmingham at Heardmont Park, 5458 Cahaba Valley Road.
