You know things are bad when Kim Kardashian is influencing the youth of America.
Montana Fishburne, the 19-year-old daughter of Laurence Fishburne, hopes to follow in her father’s footsteps and become a renowned actress.
Does that mean she’s gotta star in a remake of Pee-Wee’s Playhouse? Nope, she’s gonna do porn! And it’s all thanks to Kim Kardashian. From foxnews.com:
“I view making this movie as an important first step in my career,” Montana Fishburne said in a statement. “I’ve watched how successful Kim Kardashian became and I think a lot of it was due to the release of her sex tape. I’m hoping the same magic will work for me. I’m impatient about getting well-known and having more opportunities, and this seemed like a great way to get started on it.”

I don’t understand the logic. How will doing porn land you an Oscar? I know Montana is “impatient” for fame, but if she thinks she’ll get any serious roles after serving as some dude’s moist towelette she’s sadly mistaken. Has Kim Kardashian even been in a movie? Reality shows don’t count. Tiffany “New York” Pollard became known on reality shows and the only movie role she had was “ghetto church lady #3” in a random Ice Cube film.
Poor Kimmie K has caught a lot of undeserved flack for this. Yes, she rose to fame when she was caught on tape with, ugh, Ray J. She should be ashamed to be caught anywhere near Ray J. But in her defense that wasn’t porn per se – that was a video she made with her longtime boyfriend. Fornicatin’ on film is almost always a bad idea but a leaked sex tape is a lot different from getting paid to have sex on camera with dudes with stupid names.
I can understand Montana not wanting to ride her father’s coattails to fame but porn? REALLY? Come on, lady. The ONLY (in)famous person who has been in porn whom I can recall is Karrine Steffans. And who wants to be compared to Superhead?
