Guilty Pleasures: Olivia, “Bizounce”

olivia

We all have guilty pleasures, those songs that have no business on our iPods or the tracks we only blast with the windows rolled all the way up in our rides. In this column we share our darkest musical secrets.

Some of these Guilty Pleasures y’all nominate – whew lawd, I can’t get with them. I find no pleasure in your guilt.

But THIS ONE RIGHT HERE? The homie Nick Eden was on one when he picked this.

Olivia’s ratchet anthem is the true definition of a one-hit wonder. Her debut single was her only charting hit – but it went to No. 4 on the R&B charts in 2001, so that’s a big win. The lyrics are ridiculous and spiteful, the tone is immature, but I’m here for it. Olivia deserved more!
