Flashback Friday: Timbaland & Magoo and Tank

Another Friday is upon us and I ain’t mad about it, not one bit.

Let’s catch a ride on the time machine and see what we can dig up this week.

welcome to our world

Timbaland and Magoo, Welcome to Our World (1997)

I still remember the first time I heard “Up Jumps the Boogie”: I was in my bedroom, the radio cued up the “new jam of the day” or whatever it was called and I was COMPLETELY blown away by what I heard. It was like an alien signature from another galaxy. It’s one of the songs that started my obsession with all thing Timbaland, and his debut album with Magoo was filled with groundbreaking sonic masterpieces like its single.

Did you check out our recap of Tank’s discography earlier this week?

If not, you can do that right here!

I said in my review thatTank’s sophomore effort is a little bloated but man, when it’s good, it’s really good.
