Guilty Pleasures: Tate Kobang, ‘Bank Rolls Remix’

We all have guilty pleasures, those songs that have no business on our iPods or the tracks we only blast with the windows rolled all the way up in our rides. In this column we share our darkest musical secrets.

This entry comes from longtime friend and supporter DJ Soulchild, who is doing his part to keep hip-hop and R&B thriving overseas. The homie is nice, check him out.

While Tate Kobang spends this entire song spitting the usual rap cliches, I certainly get why Soulchild likes it – there’s a distinct, old-school hip-hop feel to it and a few of Kobang’s bars are pretty witty. This is a head-nodder.

What’s your guilty pleasure? Email soulinstereoblog@gmail.com, hit me up on Twitter @etbowser, or stop by the comments section and share your guilty pleasures. Leave a sentence or two and I’ll share your selection in a future column.

  1. Mannnnn….my brain cells after watching that. They almost jumped ship! Lol! But on the positive side, watching this made me feel better about when I had “Panda” on loop!
