We all have guilty pleasures, those songs that have no business on our iPods or the tracks we only blast with the windows rolled all the way up in our rides. In this column we share our darkest musical secrets.

A couple of days ago, my lovely wife was talking about the guilty pleasures current on her playlist when she mentioned  Jhene Aiko’s “Bed Peace.”

“What’s so bad about that song?” I asked.

She replied: “Have you HEARD the lyrics?”

I guess I’m so desensitized to the oversexed, drugged-out, ratchet lyrics in modern R&B that they didn’t really faze me. But she’s gotta point, you probably wouldn’t want to add this to your grandma’s cookout playlist.

The song’s pretty decent though, can’t deny that.
