Femcee Tournament Regional Semifinals, Part 2

Georgia Mae’s quest to crown hip hop’s queen continues. Four women made it to the Elite 8 – let’s see who you chose:

MC Lyte‘s dominance continued, easily turning back Trina with 88 percent of the vote.

In what I consider a mild upset, Da Brat squeezed by the Lady of Rage with 63 percent of the vote.

Give it to ’em Queen! She got it! Queen Latifah racked up another victory, defeating Left Eye with 75 percent of the vote.

And speaking of queens, the Queen Bee had little trouble with her opposition. Lil Kim beat back Remy Ma with 75 percent of the vote. And stole some of Remy’s weave to add to her personal collection.

We now head into the second half of the regional semifinals, so your votes are crucial. Don’t get mad at us if your favorite is crushed! Y’all should know the rules by now, but in case you don’t, just check below. Voting ends Thursday at 9 p.m. EST.

– Vote for who you feel is the better artist, not necessarily your favorite artist.

– If you’re unfamiliar with an artist or just can’t remember a person (trust me, we go waaaay back for some of these ladies), simply click the links I’ve provided below for a refresher. Try not to shortchange anybody.

– Please don’t stuff the ballot box. For you computer hackers out there, have some integrity. If Queen Pen miraculously gets 200,000,000 votes out of nowhere I’ll call foul.

– Have fun! Spread the word and invite your friends to check us out.

Cleopatra Jones Region Semifinals

Lauryn Hill breezed by her last opponent, but Eve will provide much stiffer competition.

Missy Elliott might not be a match for Foxy Brown lyrically, but can her style and creativity give her an edge?

Florida Evans Region Semifinals

True lyricists collide as Jean Grae meets Rah Digga. I’d pay to see these two battle it out for real.

Shawnna better bring her A-game because Bahamadia has looked unstoppable thus far.
