Belle of the Ball

“Southern Belles: Louisville” premieres tonight and I would love for you all to watch so you can get a glimpse of the city I call home. The show has been described as “Sex and the City” and “The Hills” meet the South.

I’m not sure how I feel about that, but I’m hoping “Southern Belles” will at least show that we’re not all horses and Kentucky Fried Chicken.

I caught up with a few of the girls at that fancy schmancy Derby party I went to earlier this month.

“I think a lot of people watching in other parts of the country are going to be really surprised at what they see,” Southern Belle Julie Smith said.

Emily Gimmel told reporters that viewers will see her go through a lot of transformation during the series but insists that through it all, “I keep it very real. I think a lot of people will see how genuine of a person I am,” she continued. “I’m a good friend to all of these girls. We really got really close. I feel like I open myself up. I didn’t hold anything back at all.”

It seems Kellie Frey might ensure that “Belles” is good TV. She told reporters, “I like to do things my way, as you’ll see. I have my own plan in life. I break the mold.”

“Southern Belles: Louisville” premieres tonight at 10 p.m. ET on SoapNet. Click here to learn more about the girls and see some sneak previews of the show.

  1. Awwwww I forgot!!! I’ve got to see this! What did you think of it?

  2. I walked in the room, heard a bunch of women on TV debating when to wear extensions, did a u-turn and went in the bedroom to watch wrestling.

  3. LOL@ Edd. I don’t blame you!
