The Georgia Mae Morning News

*New York Governor David A. Paterson’s office has criticized a skit on this weekend’s Saturday Night Live in which Paterson, who is legally blind, was portrayed as disoriented and buffoon-like.

The governor’s communications director, Risa B. Heller, issued a statement Sunday saying:

“The governor engages in humor all the time, and he can certainly take a joke. However, this particular ‘Saturday Night Live’ skit unfortunately chose to ridicule people with physical disabilities and imply that disabled people are incapable of having jobs with serious responsibilities.” NY Times

Do you think SNL went to far?

*The Illinois legislature meets today for the first time since Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich was arrested and as you might have guessed the top item for discussion will be the question of whether to begin impeachment proceedings against Blagojevich, who still refuses to resign.

In case you missed this:

I must say, our outgoing president has some quick reflexes.
